Our rats are placed privately as pets 

Describe the types of rats that you breed or intend to breed.

We breed : Blue and siameses in Dumbo or standard ears, rex and standard coats. Every marking can be available, please contact us.

Do you keep records?  That is, do you have knowledge of the health, temperament, and colour of past rats in your breeding lines?

Of course, records are kept for each and every rat.  :) for 4 generation now ...

What do you feed your rats?

Nutro's Natural lite and RatChow, egal part.

Do you also rescue rats?

Yes

Describe the steps you take to quarantine new rats.

We quarantine rats in another room for 2 or 3 weeks.

How many rats do you currently own?

10 now... 5 bucks, 5 does :)

Describe your cages.

Two 64X32X20 inch cages for both bucks and does.A 32X32X20 cage for quarantine and two 36X36X36 for emergencies...

How many litters do you have or expect to have per year?

3 or 4

Do you wait until you have waiting lists to breed your rats?

Yes

Do you insist that people adopting rats from you must sign an adoption contract?

Yes

Describe your goals with respect to breeding rats.

Our rats are chosen first because of their heath and temperament.  My rats are all great pets and I want it to be that way for ever :)

Is it your intention to make a net profit from breeding rats?

No

2 years now but always had pets.

How long have you been breeding rats?

1 year.

Do you ship your rats? If so, how?

no... sorry

At what age to you adopt out babies to people?

Never before 6 weeks old

Describe your breeding techniques (inbreeding, linebreeding, outcrossing, etc.).

Outcrossing and linebreeding. I will never inbreed.

Are you a member of a rat club such as the RMCA RMFE or rat fan club?

Yes

Do you keep in touch with people who have adopted your rats in order to keep track of trends in health and temperament?

Yes.. of course... by mail.

At what age do you breed female rats for the first time?

4 to 8 months only

How many times will you breed a female over her lifetime?

Only once

Describe how you socialize babies.

Babies are pet after their first milk :) And several times a day for at least 6 weeks... The does are so great to let us take care of their babies while they play with their friends :)))

Describe where you got the rats that you are breeding. 

Most of them from the SPA... some of petstores and some of older breeding :)

Additional Comments:

All the rats we have now are from one of our own breeding or from very well known breeders and great friends of us.
