Number of your rats treated there:
Saw this vet for how long:
a couple visits

What your rats were treated for: Mammary Tumor Removal
Comments:
Dr. Harvey has I believe 30 years of experience with rats (or so he told me) and really knew what he was talking about. My rat was well cared for when she had the surgery-- afterward she was fine, on meds, and hopping around:) . Unfortunately my rattie passed away with a second tumor--Dr. Harvey did warn me that would happen and he never once said the surgery was without risks, etc.

The one thing I have a problem with is how the vets at the clinic (not just Dr. Harvey) seem to offer a lot of extra meds, tests, x-rays, etc... when I am sure they are not exactly needed. The prices are also VERY steep. The tumor surgery was approx. $550, and the tumor was not a large one.

I believe this clinic is the only one around the South Okanagan that treats rats/has experience with them.
